Brendan McGrath and Nelleke Borghouts established the planning consultancy, Brendan McGrath and Associates, in 2001. The practice draws on the expertise and experience of specialists working in the fields of engineering, economics, architecture and the environmental sciences. Brendan McGrath has more than 30 years experience as a professional planner. Nelleke Borghouts is the practice administrator. Studies, plans and reports are produced using Microsoft and Microsoft compatible software and GIS software.
The practice is fully tax compliant and carries professional indemnity insurance to the value of €1.3m. The practice is based in Corrofin, on the edge of the Burren, one of the most attractive areas in Ireland and a current focus of new initiatives in environmental planning and land use management.
